Confluence — Privacy & Data

Last updated: June 2026

The short version. Confluence is a calm, single place to read and react to what already exists across your social networks and AI assistants. We are built to collect as little as possible. We do not sell your data, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

What Confluence does

Confluence brings your networks together so you can search, watch, post and ask your AIs in one feed. When you connect a network (for example TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, or an AI assistant like ChatGPT, Claude or Grok), you authorize that connection through the network's own secure login. Confluence reads the content you ask it to show and lets you act on it.

What we collect

Account & connections If you create an account, we store the minimum needed to keep you signed in and to remember which networks you've connected. Network credentials are held by the networks themselves through their secure authorization — Confluence does not store your network passwords.

Anonymous usage analytics We record anonymous, categorical usage events — for example which tab was opened, that a search was run, or that a post was shared — together with a random, non-identifying install token. This helps us understand which features matter and improve the app. It is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. We never record the text of your searches, posts, replies, or AI questions for analytics.

Content you create Drafts, replies and posts you write are processed to deliver them to the networks you choose. They are not used to build a profile of you.

What we do not collect

AI assistants

When you ask a question in the Ask tab, your question is sent to the AI assistants you've enabled (such as ChatGPT, Claude or Grok) so they can answer. Those assistants process your question under their own privacy policies. Confluence simply brings their answers together so you can compare them.

Your choices

Data security

Data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard TLS. We keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small, which is the strongest privacy protection of all.

Children

Confluence is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
